Australia is the skin cancer capital of the world, because of our sun exposure.  More than 11,500 Australian men and women are diagnosed with a melanoma each year. There are three types of skin cancers; melanomas, squamous carcinomas (SCC's) and basal cell carcinomas (BCC's).  The Cancer Council recommends all adults should check their moles regularly.  Seeing a Skin Cancer GP and getting an assessment of your risk and how often you should get checked is important, to prevent an unnecessary death from a preventable disease. We tend to see a lot of ear infections in the peak holiday times during the summer months, with people in and out of the water all the time, combined with summer's humidity. We use the ear microscope when appropriate  to inspect and thoroughly clean the ear canal to help treat these infections.
